What's "Regular Price?"

 

It's a jewelry sale, nothing new there.

Sale advertisements usually list
the sale price,
along with the regular price

so we can see how much we're saving.

But this ad lists the sale price,

followed by another, higher "sale" price

followed by a really high "regular" price.

 

What's that "regular" price referring to?

So it's just an arbitrary, ridiculously inflated price that no one would ever pay.

HEY!  Dumb Ads tee shirts are now on sale for only
$15 to $22 each!
(Regular price $300.00.)
